Alyssa Berger, LCSW
Senior Clinician
Alyssa Berger is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in the treatment of adolescents and young adults dealing with mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, self-esteem issues, and family stressors. With extensive experience working in camp and school settings, Alyssa brings a refreshing, relatable, and direct approach to building strong connections with clients of all ages.
Alyssa is passionate about helping clients identify troubling thoughts, emotions, and behavioral patterns, with the goal of shifting toward healthier, more adaptive perspectives. She works with individuals to develop practical tools for coping, while promoting lasting change.
Using an eclectic, integrative approach, Alyssa tailors her therapeutic methods to meet the unique needs of each client, understanding that psychotherapy is not a "one size fits all" process. She pays close attention to the dynamics of relationships within a client's life and incorporates techniques from both cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and psychodynamic therapy. This allows her to provide clients with tools to alter maladaptive thoughts and behaviors, while also considering the significance of their personal history and past experiences.
