Alyssa Berger is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in treating mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, self-esteem issues, and relationship conflicts. Alyssa enjoys helping clients identify troubling thoughts, emotions, and behavioral patterns with the goal of shifting to a healthier and more adaptive perspective.

Ms. Berger works using an eclectic, integrative approach focusing on the unique needs of the individual, as psychotherapy is not based upon a "one size fits all" approach. Alyssa pays close attention to the relationships within a client's life, and incorporates techniques from both cognitive-behavioral therapy and psychodynamic therapy. She provides tools on how to effectively alter maladaptive thoughts and behaviors, while also taking into consideration the individual's history and past experiences.

Ms. Berger specializes in working with adolescents and young-adults with issues related to self-esteem, sexuality, relationship conflicts and failure to launch. With a long history in working with children and young adults in a camp and school setting, she brings a refreshing, youthful and direct approach to connecting with this age range.
